Your carbon report data checklist

Carbon Inventory Report

Confirm the business name, activities, reporting period covering 12 consecutive months, business boundary and sites, headcount and turnover.
Provide a purchase ledger CSV or read-only accounting connection to identify relevant purchased goods, services, equipment and other Scope 3 sources.
Confirm premises and energy use; provide applicable electricity and gas bills, or meter and supplier details.
Confirm owned, leased or controlled vehicles and equipment; provide applicable fuel purchase, fuel card and mileage records.
Confirm any refrigerant-containing equipment under your control; provide relevant servicing, refrigerant top-up and leak records.
Confirm relevant business travel, employee commuting, waste, transport and leased-asset activities; provide supporting records where these are not captured in the ledger.

Provide any existing carbon inventory or baseline, and current reporting-year emissions if different; otherwise use the inventory records above to prepare these.
Provide current and planned carbon reduction initiatives and any existing targets.
Provide applicable tender or framework carbon reporting and reduction plan requirements.
Confirm any existing net zero commitment and provide the director's name and role for approval and sign-off.
