"We need to attract and retain great people who need proof of our commitment to the planet. Our team loves how Vizibli works"
Stuart M, MD, Hyper Luminal Games
Profile:
An international computer games company with 86 employees
Requirements:
Develop a sustainability strategy to help win more work, attract and retain high quality staff
Project:
For HLG to secure lucrative client contracts and to attract top talent in a highly competitive market, their visionary CEO identified that a sustainability program was critical to deliver the vision of creating “Games for Good”. We were engaged to develop, report and reduce emissions and to provide an employee engagement and education program.
We delivered a Climate Report aligned with SECR and the GHG Protocol. The work identified HLG’s key emission sources including Scope 3 (suppliers, business travel and employee travel), established a clear baseline and created a time-bound action plan covering core operations, IT, and employee activity.
Our approach engaged staff in actively delivering carbon reduction initiatives such as work from home and recycling IT equipment resulting in lower recruitment costs, increased staff retention, higher productivity and positive culture.
Outcome:
Since our engagement, HLG has grown from 30 to 80 employees and continues to win new clients resulting in 100% increase in revenues in the last 24 months. The program has been critical to securing their Games Tax Credits and winning a number of client projects due to reduced compliance risk for customers and increased access to public sector opportunities.
The project highlighted 18% cost-savings in energy use, IT assets, business travel, and commuting. These insights enabled better decision-making and reduced waste without disrupting delivery.
HLG made a public commitment to their net zero goals, identified key actions to reduce emissions and is on track to achieve Net Zero by 2032. The company witnessed an improvement in staff engagement. This positive shift was attributed to the company's commitment to sustainability and the involvement of employees in meaningful environmental initiatives.
The result is a lower-risk, more resilient business where sustainability directly supports revenue, cost control, compliance, and people outcomes.
